Love the idea behind the watch but the final result of the adult version is poor. The GMT figures, especially, are virtually impossible to read making the watch impractical for use. A shame.
Blok is now a family affair. My wife wears a 33 in white, and my 8 year old wears every color he has. The new 38 is great for us dads who want to be a part of the cool kids, and still have a robust and fun watch to match with the rest of the family. The Blok dial and bezel is just a really good all around every day family watch. And I love that my son sees it as his tool for time management. My wife and I aren't the bad guys when we say “time is up”. He can see and know when it is. And the folks at Blok are also totally the goods. 👌🏼

Very pleased with this different, fun and clever watch which is being enjoyed by both me and my grandson - as it matches his Blok watch. We are learning the time together and starting to understand elapsed time - and he is finding it easy!
Trouble is, he holds me to the promised ETA!
I love the watch in its own right. A tough watch at work and home - and a useful resource in School.
There’s a lot about this watch I like. In fact I had bought one of these for my daughter a year ago and wished there was one available to fit me. So when this Blok 38 dropped I picked one up.
And I do really like it. I like the case construction, it feels solid but also slick. I’m also a sucker for a beveled sapphire crystal and a screw down crown is a must but there are some small things that would have just taken this from a good watch (for me) to a great one.
The Hour hand: If the hour hand was just a bit lighter grey to give it some more contrast against the dial. Forty plus years of welding has had effect on my ability to see contrast, the sharper the better.
GMT Markers: i realize this is a 38mm dial but the GMT number are so tiny that even with my glasses on I have to stare very hard to read them. If they were just a bit larger…
The Strap: Certainly one of the nicest single pass straps I’ve seen but I’ve got a 20cm wrist and so it’s the first keeper for me. Maybe a selection at purchase for a longer strap. I know this is very, “Me,” centric but it’s a common problem those of us with larger wrists deal with on most watches.

Thanks for such a measured and considered email. The GMT markers were definitely the most aggresive 'stretch' for us.. working within a confined spaace and a steel core construction, the real estate opportunities are sparse! We love feedback like this, becasue it will push us to work out ways to improve in futue generations.
