Introducing the Blok 31, our sophomore timepiece designed for clear and intuitive time telling.  We removed the timer bezel, simplifying the dial and highlighting our iconic offset hour bloks. BK31 also features the much anticipated addition of lume.  The hands, dial and even the recessed minutes in the case all glow.

The design focus for this wristwatch was teaching our youngest kiddos to read time. Though little future astronauts were the target, we landed on a unique and modern watch suited to any age group.

The watch comes with a matching small size strap, fitting a range of 5" - 6" wrist circumference. This comfortable, run-thru strap is easy to adjust and swap out for different colors or sizes.

Dial System

The foundations of time teaching: Keep it simple, keep it visual. Reading analog time is a two step sequence:
1. Identify the hour
2. Identify the minute
We’ve made these steps super easy by visually separating and color-matching hours and minutes with their respective hands. Hours are always on the dial and minutes are on the case. By offsetting the hours, the hand touches the blok throughout the entirety of that hour, making it easy to quickly identify what hour it is at any point in time, as opposed to touching the number only on the hour each hour, like a traditional watch.

Movement & Hands

Thin aluminum minimizes the rotating weight of the hands, allowing the longest possible battery life of the quartz movement (8 years). Don’t worry, that’s a glowing lume dot at the very tip of the hands - we didn’t sacrifice that!

The Straps

No buckles, no clips, no fiddly holes. Infinite adjustability and reliable velcro grip. Easy to change our for our future strap store.

Our updated single layer 17mm recycled woven polyester strap is thinner, bendy-er and stronger than before. The BK31 ships with a size S strap.

Lume

The hands, dial and case numbers of the BK31 glow in the dark, making it easier for kids to check the time in low light conditions - like the basement of the 3 story pillow fort.

Dive! Dive! Dive!

A cornerstone feature of dive watches, the screw-down
crown seals the case impenetrably, to a depth of 100m.
Though it is, perhaps, ‘unlikely’ that your intrepid child will
dive to 100m, it’s still a cool flex.
